We provide the best combination of communication and physical skills in the industry. We teach your staff to communicate more effectively and create a safer, more positive therapeutic environment where students can trust, learn and grow.
Each individual is precious. We have Zero tolerance for violence in our programs and trainings. We choose to teach skills which effectively control violent behaviors and actions that threaten oneself or others. Self defense is Safety. It is protecting your own person and saving others from their own actions. Safety First.
We know that communication is the key to resolving conflicts. Because of this, we concentrate on the verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication in all of our trainings. It is important to maximize our communication skills. This combination of communication skills and physical skills are taught to ensure a safer, more therapeutic, environment and better serve the students in our care.
Matthew Cooper, the Master Instructor of the Positive Control Systems programs, provides staff and Instructor level trainings that are customized to the needs of your school or facility. He and his instructors provide live hands-on instruction to line staff, as well as training individual staff members, to certify staff and Instructors in the Positive Control Systems programs.
The Positive Control Systems program has served the Troubled Youth Industry since 1994. Over the years, we have spent thousands of hours teaching these skills to both State and Private facilities and programs across the United States and Costa Rica. Our systems are taught in Wilderness programs, Residential treatment, Lock Down programs, Mental Health programs and more.
